If interested in Fostoria and its surrounding counties, the Library has several different resources. We have area newspapers on microfilm dating back to 1832 to the present, a clipping file of historical and biographical Fostoria materials pre-1970, and a local newspaper index starting in 1974 to the present. There are city and county directories, some as far back as 1869, and some materials on the city’s and counties’ history. Our Library also has various historical atlases and plat maps. We have nearly a complete collection of the Fostoria and St. Wendelin high school yearbooks, as well as incomplete sets of other surrounding area high schools, and even colleges. And if you want to know more about Fostoria Glass, we have information on that factory, and the other twelve, that were located in Fostoria between 1887 to 1920.
